The last two weeks have sucked me up and spit me out like a tornado and now here we are, on the cusp of the new year. The last few hours of 2018 are left. What now? Well, I went back and edited my Declutter blog because after talking to my good friend TaraLeigh as well as my grandmother, it was decidedly a b*tchy post. I changed a few things, pointed less fingers and also explained my behavior. I’ve also decided to ring in the New Year by myself rather than go to a party or a bar I don’t enjoy. I’ve always been a quality over quantity kind of gal, and today is no exception. I’m writing the post off the cuff, no planning, no editing but just more like a conversation between you and I. I want to let you know what to expect from me in the next few months and even more importantly I want to know what you want to know. I’ve been busy behind the scenes, created checklists and worksheets for y’all. Habit and organization seem to be my gift and I’d like to give that to you. I’ve asked a few friends but I’d love some more input if you don’t mind. So please respond to this email and let me know, what would you like to learn?
A. Money saving habits/debt strategy
B. Skincare Steps
C. Workout/Fitness Tips
D. Goal Accountability/Achieving
If you could please take a moment and either comment below or send me an email I would appreciate your opinion. As for me, I had a nice run on the beach earlier, I opened some birthday presents, had some cake, thoroughly swept and cleaned my apartment for the new year, I’m going to make delicious food, take a bath, do a face mask and set some intentions for 2019. I’ve written down my goals for 2019 – in ink on paper – because I feel like there is a lot of power and energy in that. If flows from your body onto something you can see. I did this last year and I completed ALMOST every goal I set. I didn’t write my second book – I didn’t even start, and there’s a good reason: I didn’t have the story in me yet. The first book had been writing itself for seven years, so how on Earth did I think I was going to turn around and immediately writing another? Other goals I didn’t achieve:
- Fall in love and start a life with my partner
- NYE/Bday trip to Africa, Cuba or Australia
I’ll put the first one on next year’s list – I’ve done my best but timing and the Universe had different plans in 2018. Next year I have a few other destinations in mind so we’ll see where I end up a year from now.
As for as my 2019 goals, they are…ambitious. I believe I will get all of them achieved with the shaky exception of two items: that dang book and a product I’d like to develop. Full disclosure, you’re going to be seeing a lot more of me. I’m learning a thing or two about marketing and it turns out I have to put myself out there. A lot. I apologize in advance for the Facebook posts, the Instagram pictures and the Pinterest Pins. If you just can’t take it and you must unfollow, I completely understand.
Odds are, you’re going to read this tomorrow morning while nursing a hangover and that’s great, I hope you had a blast! But I’d love to know what your goals and your desires are for 2019. Set a timer for 5 minutes, grab a pen and paper and write down some things you’d like to accomplish. Leave them in the comments section if you’d like -I’d love to hear from you. And let me know how I can help. I hope we all have the most fun, productive and alive 2019.
